Daniel Basilio Suárez Ramos
Daniel Suárez is a biologist and postdoctoral researcher with interests in the study of the ecology and evolution of arthropods on oceanic islands. He studied the Bachelor’s Degree in Biology (2012-2016) and the Master’s Degree in Terrestrial Biodiversity and Island Conservation at the University of La Laguna (2016-2018). He completed his PhD thesis (2018-2024) at the IPNA-CSIC, which focused on the diversity of spiders in the laurel forests and Euphorbia shrublands of the Canary Islands, using molecular tools to study patterns of genetic structuring and community assembly. He is currently contracted by the General Foundation of the ULL (2024-2025) for the inventory of arthropods in the Teide National Park.
