Manuel Cárdenas Guerrero
Manuel Cárdenas Guerrero is a postdoctoral researcher investigating the dynamics of interspecific interactions. His research primarily employs spiders as a model organism to examine their ecological roles in diverse habitats.
His PhD focused on the role of spiders in a Mediterranean olive grove agroecosystem. Subsequently, he held a postdoctoral position at Masaryk University (Czech Republic), where he studied the behavioral ecology of spiders, particularly interspecific communication via the exploitation of prey chemical signals by predators.
Following this, he conducted research in Ecuador, examining tropical environments. His work explored how spiders in these ecosystems have evolved different strategies for resource utilization and predator defense under specific conditions.
